Polly & Philip

A sequence wedding, the perfect mix between demure and bold.

Tropical wedding destination

The young British couple Polly and Philip had always dreamed of getting married in Hawaii, but their wedding turned out differently than they had envisioned. While planning the ceremony and dinner in an intimate setting on the island, they realised they’d miss so many of their family and friends to share this unique moment with. So they found the perfect solution: a «sequence wedding».

What is a sequence wedding?

A sequence wedding simply means that a couple has multiple ceremonies. Usually the first wedding is more intimate, like a microwedding, followed by a larger-scale second wedding, which often involves a grand evening party. Ibiza was the ideal location for this couple’s second wedding party: a paradise island within reasonable distance for their guests.

The perfect location for an outdoor wedding

The wedding location was a beautiful villa near St. Gertrudis, a familiar destination for Polly and Philip. For the big wedding, they wanted everything to be perfect: from a moving ceremony to dancing until the wee hours.

The villa offers a beautiful garden surrounded by palm and olive trees, suited for an outdoor ceremony. The agriturismo is completely renovated and modernised, but many of its authentic elements were preserved. This perfectly fits this couple who made bold choices for their theme.

How to personalise your wedding

We discussed different ways to personalise Polly and Philip’s wedding. We used names of locations that had a special meaning for the couple as «table numbers». Instead of a bouquet, each bridesmaid received a handmade fan from Valencia. We had tambourines that served as a name holder and as a wedding favour for the guests.

This Ibiza wedding was a perfect mix between personal and warm. Look at the pictures below.
