Lena & Philippe
“Even with just 22 guests, our wedding felt complete.”
“Even with just 22 guests, our wedding felt complete.”
Lena & Philippe first met high in the sky: both working as cabin crew on a flight, their eyes met and their hearts skipped a beat. Once safely back on solid ground, they started dating which eventually led to an “I do”. Their love for aviation brought them together, so for them there was no other option than a destination wedding. No extravaganza, but an unforgettable experience – with just 22 close friends and family on the guest list.
Firstly, the couple chose to plan a wedding weekend for their guests. Travelling abroad is no small ask, so this couple was determined to make their guests feel every bit as celebrated. A boutique luxury hotel served as the home base, followed by a toes-in-the-sand pre-wedding dinner at Experimental Beach, and a cozy farewell lunch at CBbC Marina in Santa Eulalia.
Pro Tip: For multi-day weddings, always build in downtime. Well-timed breaks between events keep everyone relaxed and present.
Quote: “Couples who host multi-day destination weddings often report stronger guest connections and more meaningful conversations—everyone gets to slow down and enjoy each other.”
No bridesmaids, no groomsmen, no seating chart with VIP rows. This wasn’t your typical ceremony. Everyone was equally important, which made the moment feel incredibly sincere.
The couple exchanged vows in a semi-circle setup. No aisle, no spotlights, just closeness. When Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran filled the air, tears quietly followed.
Pro Tip: Consider non-traditional seating arrangements. A semi-circle or spiral formation naturally brings emotional intimacy.
The intimate guest list was perfect for a wedding dinner at one long, beautifully set table. The long table gently underlined what this wedding was all about: connection, presence, and making each guest feel seen. Under a canopy of string lights and nestled between palmtrees, the guests enjoyed a candle-lit dinner. With food at the heart of the celebration, the menu was 100% local. Think: Iberian ham, Mediterranean vegetables, freshly caught fish, and wines thoughtfully selected from Spanish vineyards.
Instead of a classic dance party, the couple opted for a private lounge area in one of Ibiza’s renowned clubs—a stylish and unexpected way to wrap up the weekend.
This wedding was a beautiful reminder: small doesn’t mean less. By focusing on the moments and the people that truly mattered, Lena and Philippe created a heartfelt, elegant, and unforgettable celebration of togetherness.
