Eva & Andre

Relaxed vibes at this low-key garden wedding.

Eva and André contacted me during the last month of 2019. The bride-to-be and her fiancé live in the Netherlands, but dreamt of getting married in Ibiza. They were not looking for a traditional, stiff wedding party. What they really wanted was to get married in a relaxed atmosphere. Sitting down with all their friends and family in a beautiful garden at a huge table to celebrate their love. The ideas to make that dream bohemian/garden wedding a reality flew back and forth via email. And then…a global pandemic began.

Agriturismo charm

As soon as covid restrictions were lifted, Eva and André got on a plane to Ibiza. Together we visited some locations that fitted the concept the couple had in mind. In the end, they fell in love with a 200-year-old beautiful finca in the north of the island. It clicked immediately with the owner and host. Eva and André eventually chose not to pin themselves down to 2021, but to move their party to 2022. An excellent choice, because in the meantime a baby was on the way 🙂

A symbolic wedding favour

Their big day ended up going exactly as they had in mind. The ceremony was intimate and personal. We arranged their huge garden table decorated with fresh flowers. After dinner, the freshly married couple surprised their guests with impressive choreography on the dance floor. Finally, as a wedding favour, Eva and André had a copy of their favourite poetry book as a symbol of their love. Who doesn’t love a personal wedding thank you
